North India Mission Trip

Greetings to o you in the most precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
We had a fruitful and successful North India both Mission and personal trip. I thank you with all my heart for your prayer and support for this 13 days trip. In Delhi we met Mr. Solomon who works among slum children who are poorest of the poor children in Delhi. It was nice being with him and visiting two of their mission stations (slums).

We then traveled to Shimla in Himachala Pradesh and met Mr. Dharmesh who works for a Govt. office but actively involved in House church moment. Smitha and I had a privilege of ministering to his family. Dharmesh’s wife had three miss carriages and one boy baby was born and died six months after the birth due to the hole in the heart. They were depressed and could see the sadness covering their faces and family was disturbed in various ways. We too had similar kind of experience hence we could counsel and minister to them meaningfully. They were in tears as we ministered to them. Please pray for this family. They love the Lord and faithfully serve the Lord along with their work. I have also recommended him to have Bible training so that he can be well equipped in the service of God. Then we met a new believer’s family in the same town. They are strong in the Lord.

We went to another town which is very famous by name Manali. It’s a tourist place. There is a Mission Hospital which was established in the year of 1935. You may read about it in the internet. We met Dr. Johanna who is just 28 years, physiotherapist. She is from South India (Hyderabad) but she is their as a missionary doctor in that cold land. She conducts Bible study in three different villages near Manali. We had a privilege of joining such House churches and ministering to those new converts. Those believers love the Lord even in the midst of various problems they face in terms of opposition, family problems and so on. I felt that we need to plan a family seminar for them some time in the near future if possible. Then we also had a chance to meet medical students and had a chat with some of them in the Mission hospital. We also met Dr. Christopher as well who is the administrator over in the hospital.

Then, we came to another city called Dehradun. Here we stayed with our friend who is a teacher in “New theological College,” Mr. Ajay and Jyothi. They are a lovely couple. They have adopted a baby girl two years ago and she is two years old now. This family showed us a great hospitality. We did enjoy our time there. He has bought a Car, but does not know driving yet. Hence, I drove his car for three days as we visited various places. We visited along with them a place called “Haridwara” which is the Holy Land for Hindus. People from all over the country and abroad visit this place and dip in the River in order to get rid of their sins. They believe that if you dip in this Ganga River, sins will be forgiven. There will be thousands of people daily coming from various places to dip and cleanse themselves. We moved with tears thinking that people are hungry to get rid of sins, but they do not know the right place where to find the salvation. We can not openly tell there about Jesus, if we open our mouth to preach Jesus, they would kill us right there. We did spend some time in prayer walk and cursing the demonic spirit that has blinded the eyes of the people. Please pray that one day soon the truth will be revealed to these people. We also visited a Christian family in that town and spent some time in prayer and discussion. There are Christians in that town but very sensitive area.

We also visited another place “Rishikesh” which is near by. It is also a part of their Holy place. They do not allow any body other than Hindus to be settled over there. Even if people settle down, they can’t have the church in and around that area. We met a catholic Monk from Belgium. He has established an Inter Religious Dialogue in that town near the Ganga River. He does not name any God but he believes in God as a light or a Reality. We dialogued with him saying Jesus is that light and so on. However he had his own say on that. I do have his picture with us.

I have just given you the summery and report of the North India trip. It was possible because of your support. Thank you very much for your prayers and contributions.

We love you and honor you for your partnership in the ministry.
Regards

Francis
