Church Convention in Meghalaya

by Rev: Francis ~ March 9th, 2007. Filed under: News.

It was long travel by train to North East of India we went to speak in church for their Annual convention. Over 500 people attended daily in the convention. It was a regional convention where five to seven churches of particular region come together in one church for the convention. What a joy to see people who live around may be one or two kms distance walked and came to participate in the convention. It is mountain range, very cold even during the summer season. Children, young and the old people climb the mountain in order to attend the service, because the church is located on the top of the mountain. The theme for the convention was “Open my Eyes so that I may see your Glory” (Rev.3:18). It was my first experience to North East India. I had to travel three days and two nights to get there by train and the same amount of time to return as well. In other words I spent more time in the train (travel) then the mission station. I stayed only three days in that Kinchy village to Minister God’s word. They requested me to come again next year for the next convention. I almost traveled about 7000 kms both up and down travel. Thank you for your prayers and support in the missions.
